Review by hotel critic
As a single, up-and-coming architect hailing from London, I ventured to the western part of Berlin for a gourmet getaway at Brandies Hotel. Nestled in the heart of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, this architectural gem offers more than just a place to stay. The 3.5-star hotel boasts a 24-hour reception, a safe haven, and a charming breakfast room.My culinary journey began at the hotel's restaurant, where I savored innovative dishes that tantalized my taste buds. The ambiance was a perfect blend of history and modernity, reflecting the essence of Berlin itself. Despite being in a foreign land, the friendly staff made me feel at home, catering to my every need.Exploring the nearby culinary delights of T.viet and Giavi was a delightful experience, each offering a unique perspective on German cuisine. However, the cherry on top was the proximity of Cafe Dreikasehoch Kaiserdamm 20, where I indulged in delectable treats. While the breakfast at the hotel was a bit pricey at EUR 12, the quality and variety of options more than justified the cost. The China-Restaurant Panda nearby also offered a delightful dining experience. In conclusion, my stay at Brandies Hotel was not just about accommodation; it was a journey through Berlin's culinary landscape, blending tradition with innovation in every bite. If you're a food enthusiast like me, this hotel is a must-visit on your next trip to Germany.
